You know that feeling when the screw is halfway in and it sticks and the driver slips and the groove strips and you give up and open a beer? Well this is the opposite! Lear's screw is smooth and effortless though sung in a 'screwy'' little mode. It’s a three-part song. The opening section paints the words with that kind of dogged application which accompanies screwdrivers and reluctant wall plugs! The song employs a drone which can be sung with the mouth slightly open and the lips slightly pursed. The second section breaks out of this concentration and opens up into a more lyrical mood. The ‘screwy’ mode returns for the final bars.

Level: difficult (only because of the mode which might need careful pitching.)
